Just found a couple of keys that aid in Vizzing.
Hold "ctrl" and left "shift" key together, along with the " * " key on the key pad. This Expands the vizzbox in all 4 planes at once.
The " +" & "-" keys on the main Keyboard, are vizz box transparency.
This realy helps when vizzing close areas!

godd stuff, skitch.
it can be very helpful to see through the boxes and the other idea saves time increasing them quickly. in my case the makeitgood job starts as a kind of relaxing after max, but it usually becomes boring and too hard at the end, taking as much time as modeling work. but basically for me its a part of track creation.
let me just mention an idea here. have you tried ase2vis? what i do is i create a new layer in max for the cam boxes (once they are on a different layer you can hide all of them in one movement by turning the layer off). i place a box for the very first one and pull the four top vertex up and pull the four bottom vertex down while watching it in one of the side views to be sure that its high and deep enough to cover any possibile cam position during the race. i switch to plan view and copy (you know, shift+move) the box along the racing line as many times as i need with overlaps and close the circle reaching the first one. creating cam boxes is partially ready, they can be adjusted later in makeitgood. (of course you have to create the list file for ase2vis, blablabla) this is much faster than in makeitgood, but has some disadvantage (actually a lot of) and you still have to make the box(es) for each cambox in makeitgood because its better to create them there. (to be able to see what you are doing) for these reasons this method is ideal only for simplier tracks, many times i leave it and do the classical makeitgood way. _________________ Tell the truth cuz life is short. |

I could go down the ase2taz and vizz road but its like you said, I like to see in real time what I am editing out ( I secretly love to vizz a track lol )
On another note I just today found out that expanding a water box is not a click click click thing at all lol ( I havnt placed many in my time) but by holding the left shift while expanding the box alows for a much faster expantion lol. ( I have only been doing this stuff for 7 years lol. ).
I keep finding random key combos that do stuff in makeitgood and one day we may get them all mapped properly. |

LoL, I see that all people have done the same errors for a long time !
Well, these tips are useful with :
TrackZone editing
-ctrl increases speed,
-shift makes the box growing by all sides at the same time,
-and ctrl+shift is a "combo", as you said ^^
For all Objects, holding shift will allow you to preserve your fingers... And for visibox editing it's also a great tip !
I know a little more useful tips that allows you to create cool effects in RV, but I'd like to keep them secret, because I want to keep a "surprise effect" for my next tracks.... Well if you really want to know these tips, just ask by mp.. or another way you like.

Well... If you really want to find all features of the game makeitgood edit mode, just try !
I think you will found your own ways to use them, and this is better for creativity !
All you have to know is that the shift and ctrl keys are the more useful ones...Enjoy |

| I found the water box "wraps around" at 10000 if you go down instead of up you can jump from 0 to 10000. |

Anyone know how to adjust the RED, YELLOW & GREEN speed values ? in the AI Node editing.
Does anyone know if altering these values would actually have any effect ? or is it some old coding left over from a development stage ? _________________ The man who removes a mountain begins by carrying away small stones. |

Now I think that I have tried every key combo in the AI mode and the Red, Yellow Green Thing wont change lol.
But What the fooook are the pulsating shadows around a node when you hit 1,2 or 3 while having your mouse pointer over a node?
and the key next to the "1" key turns emm off again. If you click the mouse buttons while over a node the bloody thing makes beeps and whirly noises at me... whats that about?????
