hello guys, im in trouble .
ase2w keeps on showing a panic message when converting an .ase file. its actually quite bad because 70 percent of a track is ready. the message is this: panic:weird bitmap. i tried to check the last created polys they seem to be all right. i tried to use the -v switch that enables "verbosity" in the dos prompt for ase2w to find the error, but the message is a bit "weird" soo i cant understand where the things went wrong. check this please:
any thoughts?
thx

are the bitmaps named with the last letters corresponding to the alphabet: a, b, c, d, etc.?
maybe try re-setting up the master material? |

dyyylaaaaaaaaaaaaan! thank youuuuuuuuuuu! yeaaaaaah! works.
kewl. unfortunately i have deleted a few brand new objects because i thought only the newest ones can be wrong, but it was definitely a bitmap problem, not a polygon problem. i mean not even a polygon-material, but clearly a bitmap submaterial problem, however i dont know exactly why it happened, it seems not to be my fault, just happened. i have re-set the recently created submaterial, (not the whole master) and it works. thanks. _________________ Tell the truth cuz life is short. |

i couldnt find out the dodgy feature of the bitmap, dylan. i did not change the bitmap itself. all i did was i cleared the submaterial and set it again from the same .bmp file.
"i have many halfdone" oh, and the reason? _________________ Tell the truth cuz life is short. |

and all i know about this error message above, that material #2, #3 and so on are referring to the name of the submaterial and #e5e5e5 is a hexadecimal code for a light grey color, but i dont know the connection with the color and the bitmap, and i dont know that the listed materials are all "weird" or just the last one. _________________ Tell the truth cuz life is short. |

ok I'm putting the finishing touches on atrack that was close to completion.
I'm adding sounds and maybe some animated elements, but I wonder if I should bother.
next I will finish the bamboo track I started.
